PACU Registered Nurse (RN)The PACU Registered Nurse will provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong background in trauma and telemetry nursing to ensure the highest level of patient care during recovery from surgical procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and assess patients following surgical procedures.Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure continuity of care.Manage patient flow within the PACU department, potentially transitioning to the Holding area as needed.Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.QualificationsMust have 2 years of experience as a PACU RN with Level 1 trauma and telemetry expertise.Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS are required.Ability to float within scope to meet patient care needs.Must be flexible to work holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD.Shift & SchedulingShift: Day, 4x12-Hour (09:00 - 21:30).Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month.On-call Requirement: 1-2 overnight call shifts monthly.Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, with the potential for call-offs.Additional InformationOpen to accommodating pending licenses from applicants.Requests for time off greater than 7 days require prior approval.OT is available after 48 hours for contracts signed on or after specified date.We encourage qualified candidates with the requisite experience and certifications to apply and join our dynamic healthcare team dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.
