Overview Retail Store Management Trainee to join our team. Compensation ranges from $13.00 to $24.50 per hour. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position, with a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.27 per hour on top of your hourly rate. Position Summary We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This role sets the tone for a customer-centric environment. Alongside the Store Manager, this position analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. The role requires commitment to the asset protection program, promoting the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry, general merchandise, and other items including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly. Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards. Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels. Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets. Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans. Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting. Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting. Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards. Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans. Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested. Communicate clearly with employees about store mission and profitability objectives. Remain up-to-date on product knowledge. The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.) in compliance with laws. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others. Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified. Employees may be asked to assist a customer outdoors or retrieve products from external storage areas. Minimum Age: 18 years old High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience Ability to work in multiple locations as needed. Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays. Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours vary by business needs. Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office equipment. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Analytical skills and cash handling experience required. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
