Account Executive

Position Summary

The Account Executive is responsible for developing new client relationships, generating business opportunities, and driving profitable revenue through Amtec’s Contract Staffing and Direct Hire services.

This is a business-development-focused role responsible for managing the sales process from prospecting and client discovery through proposal development, negotiation, client acquisition, and account growth.

The role is accountable for meeting established new-client, revenue, gross-profit, pipeline, and business-development goals while supporting Amtec’s mission of helping companies build high-performing teams and helping people find meaningful work.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop new business through outbound prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, social media, and other sales activities.
• Build relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, executives, and other decision-makers to identify staffing and recruiting opportunities.
• Conduct client discovery meetings, present staffing solutions, negotiate agreements, and convert prospects into revenue-producing clients.
• Build and manage a consistent sales pipeline while achieving established new-client, revenue, gross-profit, and business-development goals.
• Develop and expand client relationships by identifying additional hiring needs, service opportunities, and potential referrals.
• Partner with Staffing Managers and Recruiters to communicate client requirements, manage expectations, and support successful placements.
• Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline records in the ATS or CRM while staying informed of market trends and business opportunities.

Job Qualifications

• Two or more years of successful business-development or sales experience within the staffing, recruiting, or workforce-solutions industry.
• Proven ability to independently prospect, develop client relationships, and convert opportunities into revenue-producing accounts.
• Experience with outbound prospecting, cold calling, consultative selling, client meetings, and negotiating business agreements.
• Strong communication, relationship-management, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a performance-based sales environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling Contract Staffing and Direct Hire recruiting services.
• Established professional relationships within the San Diego business community.
• Experience managing the sales cycle from prospecting through client acquisition and account growth.
• Familiarity with applicant-tracking systems, CRM platforms, LinkedIn, and sales prospecting tools.
