CNC Machinist (Afternoon or Night Shift)

About the Role

Join a clean, organized, and collaborative manufacturing team producing precision gas engine components. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (lathes, mills or grinders) for our afternoon or night shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete setup, operation, and quality inspection of various CNC and manual machines.

Shifts Available

• Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Night Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

• Hourly Rate: $25.00 – $37.50 / hour (plus competitive shift premiums)

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and Operate: Run CNC lathes, CNC mills, CNC grinders, shapers, and manual machines.
• Precision Grinding: Grind and test parts to meet exact engineering and customer specifications.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect and test machined parts using blueprints and manufacturing standards.
• Defect Detection: Visually inspect finished parts to ensure they are free of burrs or surface damage.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and proper identification of parts per planning specs.
• Shift Handover: Communicate critical requirements to incoming team members during shift changes.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned machines and equipment.
• Shop Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized cellular manufacturing work area.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience operating CNC lathes, grinders, or mills.
• Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and manufacturing specs.
• GD&T: Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing fundamentals.
• Schedule: Ability to work the designated afternoon or night shift hours.
• Security: U.S. Citizenship is required. Must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance and pass a background investigation.
