Job Description

As a Security Officer Qualified Driver Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and staff through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post with Allied Universal, where an agile, reliable, and innovative team puts people first and delivers through teamwork and integrity every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patrons, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefronts, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, assist with access control practices, and provide a visible presence to support order during business hours, peak shopping periods, and/or special events.
• Communicate with management, employees, and visitors regarding site rules, directions, and incident-related updates while following post orders and local procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
