As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Shift in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an armed and driving officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security-related presence, and help to deter incidents. You will support daily operations through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork while bringing an agile, reliable, innovative approach and acting with integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Serve in an armed post while following post orders, reporting protocols, and applicable laws and/or regulations related to the assignment.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
