We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Accounting Analyst to support the daily accounting and administrative functions of our Distribution Center (DC). This position will be responsible for preparing financial and operational reports, processing invoices, verifying purchase orders, supporting payroll activities, and maintaining accurate accounting records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting or finance background, excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment. This role requires the ability to collaborate with accounting leadership, operations management, vendors, and staffing agencies while meeting strict deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and provide daily volume reports, weekly operational reports, and monthly accounting reports to the Accounting Analyst Supervisor.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with established purchase order procedures throughout the Distribution Center.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving documentation, and vendor invoices to verify accuracy before payment processing.
• Review and reconcile vendor invoices, identify discrepancies, and assist with resolving billing issues.
• Review staffing agency invoices for accuracy, including hours worked, billing rates, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with payroll processing, verification, and recordkeeping using Paychex payroll software .
• Order office supplies and products for the Distribution Center and serve as the primary point of contact for office supply vendors.
• Support the standardization of operational reporting across Distribution Centers in accordance with WCD, Inc. Administrative Office guidelines.
• Perform extensive data entry, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure information is entered correctly and on time.
• Create, update, and maintain Excel spreadsheets used for accounting, payroll, purchasing, and operational reporting.
• Work closely with the Accounting Analyst Supervisor, Operations Administrative Manager, and all levels of Distribution Center management.
• Assist with tracking expenses, organizing accounting documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Identify reporting discrepancies and communicate issues to appropriate management personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, payroll, and company information.
• Complete additional accounting projects and administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, or a related administrative role .
• Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Payroll processing experience required; experience with Paychex strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, invoice processing, and accounts payable procedures.
• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, staffing agencies, and all levels of management.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be able to meet strict deadlines and manage a high volume of administrative tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous accounting or administrative experience within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment .
• Knowledge of Distribution Center operations and reporting procedures.
• Experience performing three-way invoice matching and purchase order verification.
• Experience reviewing staffing agency invoices or temporary labor billing.
• Proficiency in Excel functions, formulas, pivot tables, and data reporting.
• Experience with Paychex or similar payroll management systems.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, invoice reconciliation, and financial reporting.
