Medical Assistant Per DiemWhy Join Us?Be part of a practice at the forefront of cutting-edge cancer care and advanced treatmentsAccess opportunities for professional growth and continuing education.Work alongside a collaborative and compassionate team of experts dedicated to making a difference.Enjoy the convenience of multiple locations throughout the Capital Region.Contribute to groundbreaking clinical trials that shape the future of oncology care.Discover your career potential with a practice dedicated to excellence and innovation.Pay Range: $17.00 - $23.48 per hourThis is a Per Diem positionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms.Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.Responds to patients' calls as requestedPerforms other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing, chart preparation, medical paperwork (FMLA, PFL), etc, as requested by supervisor or physician.Alerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patient.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school graduate or equivalent.This is an entry level position requiring 0-3 years' experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.Current BLS certification required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
