Sr. Class Actions Employment Litigation Associate - Los Angeles Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a senior-level Employment Litigation Associate to join its Employment Practice in either Los Angeles or San Francisco. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with significant experience handling California wage and hour class actions and PAGA litigation. The successful candidate will play a leading role in sophisticated employment matters, work directly with employer clients, and assume substantial responsibility for litigation strategy, case management, and client relationships. Responsibilities Manage all phases of complex employment litigation in state and federal courts Defend employers in: Wage and hour class actions PAGA representative actions Discrimination claims Harassment claims Retaliation claims Trade secret disputes Other employment-related litigation Develop litigation, settlement, and risk-management strategies Draft and argue substantive motions, including: Motions to compel arbitration Class certification motions Dispositive motions Appellate briefs Take and defend depositions, including: Named plaintiffs Fact witnesses Corporate representatives Expert witnesses Manage written discovery, document review, and litigation workflows Handle court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations Advise employers on California employment law compliance and risk mitigation Work closely with clients on business-focused employment solutions Mentor junior attorneys and assist with team development Support client development and business generation initiatives Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with the California Bar 5+ years of employment litigation experience Significant experience handling: Wage and hour class actions PAGA litigation California employment law matters Strong knowledge of California class action procedures and employment regulations Experience independently handling depositions, court appearances, and substantive motion practice Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Strong client management and communication abilities Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters simultaneously Prior law firm experience preferred Why This Opportunity Our client offers attorneys the opportunity to work on some of the most significant California employment litigation matters while benefiting from: Direct client contact and substantial responsibility Leadership opportunities on sophisticated class action and PAGA matters A collaborative and team-oriented culture Strong mentorship and professional development Business development and practice growth opportunities Long-term advancement within a nationally recognized employment practice Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $310,000 – $330,000 annually Compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors Eligibility for discretionary bonus opportunities Benefits may include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) options Life and disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid vacation and sick leave Paid holidays Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter and transit benefits Voluntary supplemental insurance programs Professional development and training opportunities Locations Los Angeles, California San Francisco, California #J-18808-Ljbffr Permanent Placements LLC
