We have created a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical Insurance PlansDental Insurance PlanVision Insurance Plan401(K) Retirement Plan with Generous Company MatchingHealth Savings PlanAtlantic Constructors offers competitive benefits, for more information check out our comprehensive list on our website.Summary/Objective:Responsible for the installation and testing of automatic fire suppression systems.Essential Functions:Inspects, repairs, tests, adjusts and removes sprinkler systems using instructions and pre-established guidelinesCuts, threads and hangs pipeResponsible for the installation and rebuilding of fire pumpsInstallation of valves, couplings and other fittingsReads and interprets drawings and specifications to determine layout requirementsInstalls clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipmentConnects piping system to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipmentTests system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipmentTrains and directs the day to day work of a helperMaintains appropriate documentation for the work performedPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: NoRequired:2+ years of experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or Fire Protection Service Tech; or equivalent combination of vocational training and experienceNICET Level 2 preferred, but not required Backflow certified preferred but not requiredExperience installation and rebuilding of fire pumps preferedRidgid 300 power machine (cutting and threading pipe) experienceAbility to interpret blueprints and architectural drawingsMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:Work Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heightsPhysical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusTravel:May require travel (typically not overnight)Preferred:Prior military experienceHS diploma or GED equivalentFire Protection, Fire Alarm, Fire SprinklerFinal compensation will be determined based on experience, education, licensure, skills, and other relevant factorsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
