The role also includes reviewing drawings, setting up jigs and fixtures, fitting and tacking materials, completing final welds, grinding and cutting metal, and identifying or correcting defective parts and assemblies.What We're Looking For1–2+ years of MIG welding experienceAbility to read and understand basic blueprintsGood hand-eye coordinationAbility to work with hand tools, air tools, grinders, and other shop equipmentExcellent attendance and dependabilityStable work history and good resume tenureAbility to work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and deadlinesStrong attention to quality and safetyAbility to follow direction from supervisors and leadsComfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentTrade school welding certificate preferredForklift and overhead crane experience is a plusThe company places a strong emphasis on safety, quality, attendance, dependability, teamwork, and producing high-quality work.Welder Test RequiredAll candidates will be required to successfully complete a weld test prior to placement.Candidates must provide their own:Welding hoodMetatarsal steel-toe safety shoesLong-sleeve FR shirts and FR pants are required while working in the facility.Work EnvironmentThis is a hands-on manufacturing position in a non-climate-controlled plant environment.
