Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

The Department of Pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, Northwell Health, is seeking an experienced Cardiac Intensivist to join The Cohen Children's Heart Center. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on clinical and academic excellence, with the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at its core. The ideal candidate will have a passion for program building and a desire to partner with a diverse team in a leading pediatric medical center. Practice Info The Cohen Children's Heart Center functions as a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on clinical and academic excellence. The CICU is at the core of The Heart Center, under the leadership of Dr. Todd Sweberg. The institution is constructing a physically distinct, dedicated, pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. The current PICU has 37 beds and is the largest volume PICU referral center in the region, admitting more than 2600 critically ill children annually. The CICU is staffed by a dedicated team of Pediatric Intensivists, Neonatal Intensivists, Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, and advanced care providers. The Cohen Children's Heart Center provides more than 14,000 inpatient and outpatient visits annually. Compensation Competitive salary Academic appointment with The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience. Benefits Benefits package Requirements BC/BE in both Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and Pediatric Cardiology (ideal candidate) Candidates with boards in only one specialty, with an additional year of training or extensive cardiac critical care experience, will also be considered.
