Human Resources Specialist

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, HR Policy and Programs Directorate, Compensation, Compliance, Oversight, and Policy Branch, located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Providing Human Resources (HR) policy consultation with managers, leaders or supervisors on specialties such as compensation and classification; and other workforce and employment related areas. Participating in various integrated teams, and activities and providing necessary input on HR laws, regulations, principles, procedures, or practices. Participating on various projects and groups to formulate and implement new HR policies. Leading surveys and audits to promote HR accountability and compliance.
