Location: Avera Behavioral Health Center – Sioux Falls. Worker Type: Regular. Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights, weekends, holidays. Pay Range: Actual pay dependent on experience: $24.50 – $48.50 per hour. Position Highlights Sign‑On Bonus up to $15,000 for nurses with 3+ years of experience (every third weekend, every other holiday). A Brief Overview Delivers nursing care by developing diagnoses, establishing objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families. Re‑evaluates care objectives and monitors outcomes. What You Will Do Provide patient care per physician prescriptions and nursing care plans. Communicate plan and pertinent information to healthcare team; coordinate with providers. Obtain medical histories, examine patients, document physical condition and psychological status and social factors. Develop nursing diagnoses, objectives, interventions, schedules, and timetables. Teach health requirements, prescribe patient goals, provide instruction and resources. Evaluate care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring outcomes, re‑evaluating objectives. Maintain safe environment: comply with infection control, medication policies, controlled substance regulations, and legal regulations. Document services via charting in patient/department records. Maintain equipment operation: troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance. Ensure supplies ready: check stock, anticipate needs, place orders. Maintain competence per leadership standards. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) – active state licensing. Minimum 1–3 years experience working in a clinical environment. Visual acuity adequate, effective communication, hearing, understanding speech. Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily.
