Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical unit. Ensure patient safety, deliver high-quality care, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet clinical and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to patient changes.
• Document patient progress and care activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, including safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license for Georgia or a Compact state license.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR communication tools.
• BLS certification is required.
• Able to work night shifts (3x12 hours).
• Comfortable floating within scope of practice as needed.
