Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact supporting young learners this summer as an Elementary ESY Paraprofessional. This contract role provides an opportunity to serve at one of three vibrant elementary sites, helping students succeed and grow. The schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 8:45 am to 2:15 pm (with a 30-minute lunch), totaling 20 hours per week. Orientation will take place in June, with exact dates to be determined. The main assignment period spans from July 6th to July 23rd.

You'll work directly with students—either providing individualized attention or assisting within classrooms—creating a welcoming, supportive learning environment. Duties may include personal care tasks such as toileting, lifting, or feeding, so candidates should be comfortable with these essential responsibilities.

Key Qualifications:

• Para Test Certification required
• OR proof of having completed two years (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) of post-secondary coursework from an accredited institution
• OR college degree
• Experience working with elementary-aged children as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational setting
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet students’ varying needs
• Willingness to work in-person and participate in a June orientation (date TBD)
• Comfort performing personal care responsibilities if needed

Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one or small group support to elementary students
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to foster a positive, inclusive environment
• Ensure students’ safety and well-being throughout the day
• Assist students with personal care needs as required
