Job Description

Location:  Women's Health Center, 3305 Spring Arbor Rd, Jackson

Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm; No weekends or holidays

 

Provides clinical leadership and supervision for a team of four or more staff members, including Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Customer Service Representatives. Allocates approximately 30% of time to leadership and management functions, with the remaining 70% dedicated to direct patient care responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality, compassionate patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate and supervise the delivery of patient care and patient/family education
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate the performance of nursing and support staff as appropriate
• Document patient care activities and clinical outcomes accurately and thoroughly
• Demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge of women's health nursing practices
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
• Formulate and implement effective nursing care plans based on clinical knowledge and analytical assessment

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Successful completion of HFHS Pharmacology test

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Michigan State Board of Nursing

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Two to three years of clinical nursing experience
• Demonstrated leadership ability

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

• Formal leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works in a patient care setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases
• May require heavy lifting of patients and/or equipment
