Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of commercial and industrial construction projects. Lithko Contracting is seeking an Estimator to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Estimator will assist the Estimating staff and Pre-Construction Lead with all aspects of estimating, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of commercial and industrial construction projects. Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation : Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for concrete construction projects, including foundations, slabs, and structural concrete
- Quantity Take-offs : Perform quantity take-offs for concrete materials and labor, ensuring all necessary components are accounted for in the estimates
- Bid Evaluation : Solicit and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and accuracy of estimates
- Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to align estimates with project goals and budgets
- Value Engineering : Identify value engineering opportunities and suggest cost-effective alternatives to enhance project efficiency
- Documentation : Maintain a database of historical costs and unit pricing for future reference and assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients
- Experience : Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial concrete estimating or a related role in construction
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating) and strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and costs
- Analytical Skills : Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role
