Financial Controller

KS&R is looking for an experienced Controller to join our growing team!

If you're a CPA with a strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement—and you're looking for a remote opportunity with a collaborative, people-first culture—I'd love to hear from you. Ideally, I would love someone from the Syracuse, NY area for in-person collaboration, this is a fully remote position with-in the US. Having started my career in a Syracuse CPA firm, I know the local talent in top-notch!

What you'll do:

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements

Oversee project accounting, invoicing, and accounts receivable

Partner across the organization on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Drive accounting process improvements and ERP initiatives

Mentor team members and support continuous improvement

What we're looking for:

• CPA required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 8+ years of accounting experience, including progressive corporate accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, merging data as examples)

• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica, or similar)

Bonus points for:

• Public accounting audit experience

• Master's degree or MBA

• Acumatica and Velixo experience

• Experience in professional service organizaiton
