Job Opportunity: Full-Time Hospitalist

We are excited to present a remarkable opportunity for a full-time Hospitalist to join our physician-led multispecialty group, which comprises over 650 providers, located in Nampa, Idaho. This position is part of a regional team that includes 32 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) based in Boise. The Nampa Hospitalist team consists of 11 providers who manage a high-acuity medical service at a community hospital with 106 beds, which is set to expand to 224 beds.

The Nampa facility is recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Time Sensitive Emergency classifications for Stroke, Cardiology, and Trauma. Hospitalists serve as the primary admitting service for most primary care providers within our network. The work schedule typically involves 152 shifts annually, generally following a 7-on/7-off pattern with 12-hour shifts.

Patient Population

Our Hospitalists primarily care for a patient demographic that is approximately 40% adult and 60% geriatric. Common conditions treated include:

• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Pneumonia
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Pancreatitis
• Stroke
• Neurological disorders
• Geriatric fractures
• Other general medical conditions

On average, Hospitalists conduct around 18 patient encounters daily.

Therefore, candidates must be dedicated to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team approach. The ideal applicant will possess a solid background in internal medicine or family medicine, complemented by Hospitalist training, and a keen interest in developing a practice within a growing multi-specialty medical group. Additionally, Hospitalists are involved in teaching residents.

Support Services

Our Hospitalists benefit from 24/7 support from Anesthesia, Radiology, and Intensivists, along with a wide range of subspecialists from both our group and the broader medical community.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with Hospitalist training.
• Board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment.
• Eligibility to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with a valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Boards of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Ability to obtain privileges at our regional medical center.
