Senior Workday Technical Analyst

Job DescriptionPosition PurposeThe Workday Technical Analyst at SRS Heritage Group is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing Workday integrations and advanced analytics solutions using Workday Prism Analytics. This role ensures secure, accurate, and reliable data movement between Workday and internal/external systems while enabling data transformation and insights that support enterprise reporting and decision‑making. The role also values curiosity and exploration of emerging technologies, including the use of AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency, analysis, and solution design.Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday IntegrationsDesign, develop, support, and maintain Workday integrations including inbound, outbound, and point‑to‑point integrations (e.g., Core Connectors, EIBs, Studio, APIs).Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot errors, and implement corrective actions to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.Partner with internal teams and third‑party vendors on integration setups, upgrades, and ongoing support.Manage scheduling, encryption, authentication, and data security for integrations in alignment with governance and compliance requirements.Workday Prism Analytics & Data ManagementBuild and maintain Workday Prism data pipelines, data sources, and transformation logic to support advanced analytics and reporting needs.Integrate Workday and non‑Workday data sources into Prism to enable enterprise‑level insights.Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytics requirements and deliver scalable, user‑friendly data solutions.Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across Prism datasets and downstream reports.Technical Analysis & Solution DesignTranslate business and reporting requirements into technical integration and analytics solutions.Conduct impact analysis for system changes, Workday releases, and downstream data consumers.Support complex data requests through analysis, transformation, and validation activities.Security, Compliance & GovernanceImplement and maintain secure data transfer protocols and access controls for integrations and Prism datasets.Support audit requests and compliance reviews related to data movement, integrations, and analytics.Ensure adherence to privacy, security, and data governance standards.AI Enablement & InnovationEvaluate and leverage AI-assisted technologies to improve HRIS operational efficiency, reporting, and solution design.Utilize approved AI tools to support requirements analysis, documentation creation, testing, troubleshooting, and data validation activities.Identify opportunities to automate manual processes through AI-enabled capabilities within Workday and supporting technologies.Partner with HR and business stakeholders to assess emerging AI capabilities and recommend practical use cases.Ensure all AI usage complies with data privacy, security, governance, and Responsible AI standards.Contribute to the adoption of AI-driven analytics and decision-support capabilities across HR Technology functions.Release & Change ManagementSupport Workday biannual releases by assessing integration and Prism impacts, executing testing, and validating post‑release performance.Maintain documentation related to integrations, data mappings, Prism models, and operational procedures.Reporting StructureReports to: HRIS LeaderDirect Reports: NoneTravel RequirementsMinimal travel required; occasional travel for collaboration, training, or project‑related meetings as needed.Working ConditionsThis role operates in a hybrid work environment based out of SRS Heritage Group’s Corporate Office in McKinney, TX. The environment is fast‑paced and technically complex, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering reliable data solutions.Minimum QualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Workday Experience & Technical SkillsWorkday PRO Certification or a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in one or more of the following areas:Workday IntegrationsWorkday Prism AnalyticsWorkday StudioWorkday EIBs and Core ConnectorsTechnical CompetenciesStrong understanding of data structures, transformations, and integration patterns.Experience troubleshooting complex data and integration issues across systems.Working knowledge of security concepts related to data movement and access controls.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience integrating Workday with payroll vendors, benefits providers, financial systems, or learning platforms.Advanced experience with Workday Prism transformations and calculated fields.Familiarity with APIs, web services, and file‑based integrations.Exposure to HR, Payroll, or Finance data and business processes.Experience supporting large‑scale HRIS or ERP environments.Experience using Microsoft Copilot, Workday AI, or comparable AI-assisted productivity tools.Understanding of Responsible AI practices, governance, and data privacy requirements.Experience applying AI-assisted analysis to HR, Payroll, Finance, or enterprise data.Familiarity with predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and AI-enhanced reporting.CompetenciesIntegration Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Workday integration frameworks and data flows.Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and design scalable analytics solutions.Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.Collaboration: Effective partnership with HR, IT, Finance, and vendors.Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy, security, and reliability of data solutions.Adaptability: Thrives in a fast‑changing technical landscape with evolving business needs.Not the right job for you?
