Business Intelligence Analyst – State Agency – $45-48/hr W2 – Phoenix Hybrid – 10-Month Contract

SunSoftOnline is hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst for an Arizona state agency's Division of Developmental Disabilities. This is a hybrid role running through June 2027.

The work: analyzing large, complex data sets and identifying trends. Gathering, reading, interpreting, and maintaining data for analytical purposes, policy decisions, and business operations. Performing computational evaluations including summations, means, proportions, and rates to test the internal and external consistency of statistical tabulations. Developing and applying standards that detect problems with data consistency and completeness. Creating graphs and longitudinal flowcharts. Interpreting and writing statistical report narratives. Developing functional and technical specifications for data analysis by working with staff. Communicating complex information to nontechnical audiences. Providing technical support to database end users.

Required: experience with SQL, Tableau, Google, FOCUS, Excel, Visio, OnBase , and other data management programs · statistical and business analysis · database creation and query writing · knowledge of laws, rules, and policies governing security, privacy, and management of confidential data · excellent organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication.

Also wanted: analytical software experience with SAS and R · data acquisition strategies · workflow and statistical analysis · project management techniques · ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide technical assistance to business partners.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a closely related field.

The facts: $45-48/hr W2 depending on experience · HYBRID , with some time in office for meetings, at 1400 W Washington St, Phoenix 85007 · Monday-Friday, 8-5 · September 14, 2026 through June 30, 2027 · in-person interview within a week of the close · start within two weeks of offer · Phoenix-area residents only, your current city must appear on your resume · W2 only, no C2C, no sponsorship.
