About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Developer Experience (DevEx) within the CTO, Software team. This pivotal role is dedicated to enhancing AI-enabled developer productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction by streamlining the software development lifecycle for a large community of engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of a modern, AI-native DevEx paradigm, with a focus on reducing friction and improving the experience of building, testing, and operating software at scale. This includes leading the developer platform, engineering systems, and productivity initiatives, as well as driving the adoption of AI-enabled tools and workflows to significantly enhance code quality and developer productivity. Applicants for the Vice President, DevEx role at the company should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, with a Ph.D. being preferred. A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 8 years in senior leadership roles, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building high-performing, diverse engineering teams and delivering DevEx capabilities at scale. Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern AI-native software development practices is essential. The role demands exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build trusted relationships across the organization. The Vice President will also be responsible for leading developer advocacy, success, and governance, and must be adept at driving continuous improvement and ensuring that the DevEx platform evolves in line with the needs of the business.
