Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities Work directly with the Finance Manager and General Manager to prepare operations analysis and reports. Manage all aspects of the day‑to‑day accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger. Support the Business Plan Process and ensure tie in with the strategic direct and tie in to the annual budgets. Enter and/or coordinate all accounting, payroll & information technology functions. Daily reconciliation of cash and credit card transactions. Prepare weekly and monthly financial forecasts for comparison to budget. Oversee the monthly inventory process and perform in-depth cost of goods analysis. Coordinate preparation of monthly financial statement. Ensure a timely and accurate month‑end closing process. Analyze monthly balance sheet and P&L figures to prepare comments and identify performance trends. Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial analysis for senior management. Assist Finance Manager and General Manager with analysis of information and prospective decisions based on information obtained from Accounting and operating results. Assist in the design and development of internal control procedures to safeguard company assets. Design and implement cost savings solutions. Manage budget and control expenses effectively. Participate in the planning and administration of the annual budget process, including detailed review of departmental budget submissions. Build solid working relationships with business and department leaders. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the education or hospitality industry. BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential. Must be highly analytical, have the ability to think creatively, and understand complex business dynamics. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a deadline‑oriented environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
