Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant is a highly skilled subject matter expert who delivers accurate, complete, and well-documented accounting and reporting with minimal oversight. Drawing on advanced GAAP knowledge and strong analytical capabilities, this role goes beyond executing complex accounting functions to challenging existing processes, maintaining internal controls, and driving continuous improvement. This position also carries a meaningful leadership responsibility such as mentoring junior staff, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, and serving as a trusted advisor to management. This position is located at our Corporate offices in a beautiful country setting 7 miles South of Reading, PA which is a convenient commute with ample free and easy parking. Work Location-2675 Morgantown Rd Reading, PA- Work Schedule 4 days onsite/1 day remote.Key Responsibilities:Own month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, well-supported, and completed on timeApply advanced GAAP knowledge to complex transactions, exercising independent judgment and serving as the team's go-to technical resourceStrengthen the internal control environment by assessing risks, closing control gaps, and implementing practical solutions with minimal supervisionMonitor KPIs and performance data to identify trends, flag issues early, and drive consistent, high-quality outputManage transfer pricing activities and intercompany settlements, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and supportedParticipate in annual financial statement audits for standalone entitiesChallenge existing processes and lead improvement initiatives from idea through execution, leveraging tools like Excel, Qlik, and Power Query to drive efficiency and automationMentor junior staff and teammates through coaching, technical guidance, and feedback that builds long-term capabilityResolve issues independently and communicate risks proactively, keeping management informed before problems escalateCultivate strong working relationships across the organization and with international teams, engaging effectively with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership alikeQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting required3+ years of accounting experienceCPA preferredMBA preferredProficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint requiredProficiency in the use of Qlik sense and Power Query preferredExperience with currency conversion a plusStrong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholdersStrong problem solving, judgment, time management, and organizational skillsPhysical Requirements:The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
