Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown

Registered Nurse PCU

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15).

Contract length of 13 weeks with guaranteed hours of 3 shifts per 13 weeks. Requires 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be required.

2 years of experience required, with previous Charge and teaching hospital experience preferred.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.

Skills in MS/Tele, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and emergency response, including management and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Experience with IV therapy, hemodialysis management, and various post-operative care related to cardiac procedures.

Knowledge of respiratory management and wound care.

Provide patient care in a progressive care unit.

Monitor patient conditions and manage cardiac drips.

Implement IV insulin protocols and manage various types of IV access.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
