Director, Global Medical External Affairs

Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects supporting global medical affairs external engagement priorities
Develop governance frameworks, business processes, and operational standards for compliant program execution
Coordinate strategic interactions with professional societies, healthcare organizations, and academic institutions
Establish KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to measure operational effectiveness and business impact
Manage portfolio of strategic external relationships and collaborative initiatives while monitoring alignment with organizational goals

Requirements

Proven experience leading complex cross-functional projects in pharmaceutical or life sciences
Demonstrated ability to manage external collaborations and strategic partnerships in healthcare
Strong project and program management skills with ability to handle multiple simultaneous initiatives
Experience developing executive-level presentations, business cases, and dashboards
Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority in matrixed organizations
Operational expertise in process optimization and continuous improvement implementation
Strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations
