Senior Director, Inflammation Pipeline, Global Medical Affairs

Gilead Sciences seeks a Senior Director to lead medical affairs strategy for its inflammation pipeline, managing a team of 3-6 professionals. The role involves developing medical affairs capabilities, collaborating across functions on clinical and commercialization strategies, and serving as a therapeutic area expert in the governance structure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and build medical affairs team of 3-6 professionals for inflammation pipeline programs
- Drive medical affairs input into clinical planning and clinical trial strategies across asset lifecycle phases
- Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic planning, evidence generation, and launch readiness initiatives
- Serve as therapeutic area expert on cross-functional working groups and scientific advisory boards
- Develop global scientific messages, lead conference participation, and provide training on inflammation topics
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD) with 12+ years relevant industry/clinical experience
- At least 5 years pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably with launch experience
- People management experience and proven track record leading teams
- Expertise in inflammation therapeutic areas (rheumatology, immunology, IBD, dermatology preferred)
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to synthesize complex information
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with autonomy and prioritize effectively
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 20-30% annually
Compensation: $281,010.00 - $363,660.00
