This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-established hospitality and real estate group in the Caribbean and assume a highly visible financial leadership role within a premier resort environment. Our client is a highly respected hospitality and real estate group with a distinguished portfolio of luxury properties in the Caribbean. They are seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to join the team of one of their premier resort/suites in Turks & Caicos.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a proven hospitality finance professional with extensive Caribbean experience in comparable luxury resort environments. The property includes guest rooms and suites as well as sophisticated strata/condominium and rental-owner interests, requiring a Controller with strong technical expertise and a thorough understanding of owner accounting.

Reporting to the General Manager and Group CFO, the Financial Controller will have overall responsibility for the financial integrity and performance of the property, including financial reporting, controls, budgeting and forecasting, hotel accounting, owner/strata accounting, and finance team leadership.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted team member to the General Manager, executive team, ownership, and boards/strata councils, providing accurate financial insight and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. You will be equally comfortable leading a finance team, analyzing resort performance, engaging with ownership, and getting into the detail when required. Caribbean experience is essential, as is a demonstrated understanding of the operational and financial complexities of luxury island resorts.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the resort's finance and accounting function and ensure the highest standards of financial control, reporting, and compliance.
• Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and P&L analysis in accordance with USALI.
• Provide financial leadership across all hotel accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, General Ledger, credit and collections, income audit, inventory, payroll, costing, and financial reporting.
• Oversee strata, condominium-hotel, and rental-owner accounting, including owner statements, rental revenues, expenses, distributions, and related reporting.
• Partner with the General Manager and executive leadership on financial performance, cost management, forecasting, and business strategy.
• Prepare and present financial information to ownership, boards, investors, and strata councils.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, systems, and reporting.
• Ensure effective use and integrity of key systems, including Opera PMS, Sage, ADP, and advanced Excel-based reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate will have:

• Extensive senior-level finance experience in luxury Caribbean or island resorts.
• Proven experience in a comparable resort with rooms and suites, ideally with condominium, strata, residential, or rental-owner components.
• Direct experience with strata, condominium-hotel, or rental-owner accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of USALI and hotel financial operations.
• A demonstrated record of leading and developing finance teams.
• Experience presenting financial results and analysis to owners, boards, investors, or strata councils.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Opera PMS, Sage, and ADP.
• Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
• The professionalism, discretion, and commercial judgment required to work effectively with high-net-worth owners and sophisticated stakeholders.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A professional accounting designation such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA.
