Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Administer preventive care through immunizations, developmental screenings, and health education tailored to families.
• Prescribe medications and treatments in alignment with the latest pediatric guidelines, including managing complex cases.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive healthcare solutions.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, including patient progress notes, treatment plans, and interventions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives by evaluating clinical practices and proposing evidence-based improvements.
• Facilitate family planning services while adhering to established protocols, including conducting health education seminars when necessary.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in pediatric care.
• Available for travel to cover provider absences with little notice, showcasing flexibility and commitment to care continuity.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing, with a specialization as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
• Current, valid license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas.
• PNP certification from a recognized professional body.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in pediatric settings, with a strong understanding of child growth and development.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex medical information in an understandable manner.

Compensation and Benefits
