Work Environment

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner role is onsite and involves direct interaction with patients and their families in a warm, inviting environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical assessments, including recording patient histories and performing physical examinations, to identify health issues effectively.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, like blood work and imaging, to evaluate patient health and progress.
• Administer vaccines and medications as per treatment plans, closely monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
• Educate parents and caregivers about disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance strategies, enhancing their ability to support their child’s health.
• Collaborate with family members, pediatricians, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive health care solutions.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously in our electronic health record system to ensure continuity of care.
• Stay current with best practices and new developments in pediatric healthcare to deliver the most effective treatments.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continually refine skills and contribute to the clinic’s growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will provide care to a diverse population of pediatric patients, from newborns to adolescents, addressing a wide array of health issues. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or equivalent is required.
• An active and unrestricted Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license in Texas is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner is required, showcasing a commitment to the field of pediatric care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time contract position offers competitive compensation ranging from $100 to $116 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
