Job Overview A law firm seeks a Mid-level Associate to join its Public Finance Practice Group in Charlotte, NC. The role involves guiding clients through tax‑exempt and taxable financings across various sectors, including healthcare, energy, and higher education. The associate will engage in drafting, negotiating, and analyzing financing documents and complex federal tax issues. Duties Review, draft, and analyze credit support, tax, construction, and management agreements. Draft and negotiate financing and offering documents, certificates, and opinions. Analyze complex federal tax issues related to financings. Collaborate with public and private clients across multiple industries. Requirements 2-4 years of experience in debt finance, public finance, or project finance at a top 100 law firm. Experience with real estate, secured lending, and tax‑exempt finance transactions. Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interactions. Strong academic record with excellent writing and oral communication skills. North Carolina Bar membership required. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in North Carolina. Skills Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
