** OVERVIEW **

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to champion workplace safety and regulatory compliance across our operations. In this role, you will help develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols that support a secure and compliant environment for employees, contractors, and operations. This position is primarily administrative and coordination-focused, with a strong emphasis on compliance, documentation, training, and continuous improvement. You will help support the safety needs of CDL truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, field supervisors, field chemists, and field technicians. Experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial plant environments is highly preferred.

** What You’ll Do **

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs aligned with OSHA standards and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, incident reports, injury investigations, corrective action logs, and related documentation.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, first aid, CPR, AED, and hazardous materials handling.
• Assist with workers’ compensation reporting, claim documentation, and return-to-work coordination.
• Work with management to promote safety awareness, employee wellness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support contractor compliance and maintain third-party systems such as ISNetworld, Avetta, and similar platforms.
• Help ensure readiness for internal audits, external reviews, and regulatory inspections.

** What We’re Looking For **

• 5+ years of safety experience preferred.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, industrial, or petrochemical environments.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe work practices.
• Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and injury reporting.
• Strong analytical skills for incident review, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up.
• Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to train, coach, and support employees on safety best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety/compliance tracking systems.
• Safety-related certifications such as OSHA training, First Aid/CPR, AED, CSP, or CIH are a plus.

** Ideal Candidate **
The right person is highly organized, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision. You should be comfortable working across teams, supporting leadership, and helping build a strong safety culture through consistency, accountability, and follow-through. Can be based in Houston or Beaumont with occasional travel between offices.
