Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

$1713.60/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients in a high-volume obstetric unit. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and support during childbirth, adhering to hospital policies and best practices. Responsibilities: Administer and monitor patient care during labor and delivery, supporting patient choices and promoting vaginal birth opportunities. Support the midwives, CRNA, and OB team in performing procedures such as IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, and managing postpartum hemorrhage. Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using CPN and Meditech systems. Assist in the operation and troubleshooting of obstetric equipment, emphasizing fetal monitoring. Collaborate with the laborist team and handle patient education to enhance birth experiences and breastfeeding. Float to other maternity or specialty departments as needed, maintaining flexibility in tasks and responsibilities. Qualifications: Valid RN license with current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications. Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience. Demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality patient care and support for patient-centered childbirth. Ability to perform advanced procedures and support fetal monitoring. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with 24/7 on-call staff.
