Senior Manager, Security, Service Area Operations

Job Summary: In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this senior manager position is also responsible for serving as a leader and security subject matter expert with demonstrated success leading and managing a large and comprehensive security program. This includes delivering expertise and coherence across assigned area(s) while ensuring consistent and repeatable service delivery, effective integration, alignment, and unity of effort between frontline, area, regional, and national levels of the organization to establish and maintain a strong and adaptive security posture that aligns with organizational risk tolerance and business strategies. This position is also responsible for managing geographically dispersed security teams to safeguard people, property, assets, and interests in support of the core business of providing high-quality and affordable healthcare. This includes management of facilities across multiple complex service areas within a large geographic market, and may include a wide variety of caregiving settings (e.g., hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, medical office buildings, clinics, etc.) and other sites as appropriate (e.g., pharmacies, administrative office buildings, data centers, and other types of facilities). Finally, this role is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert for their assigned area, providing security solutions, alternatives, and recommendations across service lines, to include (but not limited to) threat management/preventing workplace violence, access control, technology integration, risk-based staffing, training, contract management, policy development, investigation & loss prevention, incident reporting/critical notifications, analysis, program measurement, continuous improvement, crime prevention, risk assessment & mitigation, Essential Responsibilities: Creates and advocates for developmental opportunities for others; builds collaborative, cross-functional relationships. Oversees implementation, adapts, and stays up to date with organizational change, challenges, feedback, best practices, processes, and industry trends; shares best practices within and across teams.
