Atlanta Area | Hybrid (4 Days In Office) This is a high-visibility opportunity for a CPA-qualified accounting leader who is ready for broader scope, senior-level exposure, and a clear path toward Controller-level leadership. Apollos Partners has been engaged to identify a Director of Accounting for a confidential, growth-oriented, multi-location organization in the Atlanta area. What You’ll Be Doing Lead internal accounting and reporting processes for a complex, multi-location business. Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and business leaders to improve visibility and support decision-making. Support reporting alignment with a larger parent-company environment. Oversee accounting activities connected to a growing business model. Drive process improvements that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, controls, and scalability. Support ERP, systems, reporting, and data-integrity enhancements. Manage, coach, and develop accounting team members. Represent accounting in cross-functional and senior-level discussions. Who Will Thrive Here You have an active CPA license. You bring strong accounting leadership experience, likely at the Senior Manager, Director, Assistant Controller, or comparable level. You understand financial reporting, close processes, accounting operations, and internal controls. You enjoy coaching and developing people. You are comfortable working across multiple stakeholder groups and operating in a matrixed environment. You can flex your communication style between collaborative business partners and more structured corporate stakeholders. You are energized by process improvement and scalable business growth. You are comfortable working primarily in office in the Atlanta area. This May Not Be the Right Fit If You are looking for a fully remote or lightly in-office role. You prefer a narrow technical accounting or SEC reporting lane rather than broad accounting leadership. You do not want to manage or develop people. You are not interested in a future Controller path. You prefer a highly static environment with limited change or transformation. Compensation / Benefits / Work Arrangement Attractive compensation and incentive structure. Primarily in-office Atlanta-area role with some flexibility based on business needs.
