Inpatient Coder III
The Inpatient Coder III performs independent coding of inpatient medical records, ensuring accuracy assigning ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient hospital encounters in compliance with official coding guidelines, regulatory agencies, and hospital policies. This role requires prior coding experience and strong knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) assignment, clinical documentation, and coding compliance.

Compensation Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience
Education/Experience
Minimum:
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) years of inpatient coding experience
Preferred:
- Associates degree in HIT or related field
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- CPC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, OR CIC Certification
Preferred:
- CIC Certification
