Assistant Field Office Director In this critical role as an Assistant Field Office Director (Term Appointment), GS-15, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact within the Department of Homeland Security. Your responsibilities will include: Setting and managing goals and objectives, developing effective procedures, and providing insightful policy guidance to your team. Establishing clear objectives, priorities, and deadlines for your unit while creating strategic plans to adapt to changes in workload. Making informed decisions and resolving complex issues related to the interpretation of laws and application of DHS policies. Ensuring compliance with departmental personnel policies, addressing complaints and grievances, and making constructive recommendations. Actively engaging in conferences, meetings, hearings, and presentations to represent the agency. This position allows you to select a preference for a Field Office area of responsibility, although note that multiple duty locations may be offered based on agency needs.
