Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced sonographer specialized in adult echocardiography with a focus on TAVR patient scans. The ideal candidate will have extensive inpatient experience, particularly with severe to critical aortic stenosis cases preparing for TAVR procedures, supporting a high-volume structural heart program.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality adult echocardiograms in accordance with ASE and IAC guidelines, emphasizing valvular and structural assessments.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding while alleviating pre-test anxiety.
• Review prior reports, images, and patient history to ensure comprehensive and accurate studies.
• Operate and configure ultrasound equipment to optimize image quality and procedure efficiency.
• Document and log all exams accurately, maintaining detailed records of procedures performed.
• Assist in inventory control and procurement of supplies necessary for echocardiography services.

Qualifications:

• Certified sonographer registered with ARDMS or CCI, with documented inpatient echocardiography experience.
• Proven expertise in TAVR pre-procedure scanning, specifically in severe to critical aortic stenosis cases, reflected on the candidate’s resume and detailed in submission cover sheets.
• Demonstrated proficiency with spectral Doppler, Pedoff, contrast echocardiography, and saline studies.
• Strong ability to operate Philips ie33 and Epiq systems, with knowledge of Epic hospital information system.
• Ability to independently recognize abnormalities and respond swiftly to critical imaging findings.
• Minimum of 200 inpatient echocardiography cases, including valvular and structural assessments.
