Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced sonographer specialized in adult echocardiography with a focus on TAVR procedures. Candidates must demonstrate advanced skills in scanning patients with severe to critical aortic stenosis, especially pre-TAVR treatments, within a high-volume cardiac center.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort, explaining processes clearly, and monitoring throughout the examination.
  
  
• 
  Set up and operate ultrasound equipment efficiently to perform high-quality studies.
  
  
• 
  Review prior reports, images, and patient charts to confirm study completeness and appropriateness.
  
  
• 
  Acquire accurate images, employ proper techniques, and notify clinicians of critical findings.
  
  
• 
  Maintain detailed records of exams performed and manage supply inventory for the department.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and procedural protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Demonstrate proven experience performing high-level adult echocardiography, including TAVR pre-assessment scans, with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases.
  
  
• 
  Possess proficiency in spectral Doppler, Pedoff, contrast, and agitated saline studies.
  
  
• 
  Maintain registered credentials as a Cardiac Sonographer from ARDMS or CCI.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong independent work skills with the ability to recognize abnormalities rapidly, especially in severe to critical aortic stenosis cases.
  
  
• 
  Have recent, relevant experience scanning TAVR treatment-prep patients at a valve or structural heart facility.
  
  
• 
  Hold BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
