Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to support accurate cost tracking, analysis, and reporting across operations. This role focuses on monitoring costs, analyzing variances, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The role will work closely with operations and finance leadership to help ensure financial accuracy and support informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and analyze costs related to products, projects, or operations

• Maintain standard costs and support cost updates as needed

• Prepare cost variance analysis and explain fluctuations

• Support inventory accounting and reconciliation processes

• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations

• Partner with operations to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting

• Support budgeting and forecasting related to costs

• Help improve cost accounting processes and reporting tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 3–5+ years of cost or general accounting experience

• Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing, construction, or project-based environment

Preferred

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
