We're seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support our Engineering team by assembling, testing, and troubleshooting prototype circuit boards for marine products that lead the industry. Join the Power-Pole Team!Benefits100% employer paid - Employee/family health plan option availableHealth Savings Account (HSA) – with generous employer matching programDental, Vision, Voluntary Life Insurance100% employer paid – Employee Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceAccident, Hospital and Critical Illness401K with generous employer matching programPaid time offHoliday payEmployee Referral ProgramMissionOur mission is to share a sense of adventure with the world through our high-performance marine products while instilling and inspiring consumer confidence with superior service.What You'll Do:Assemble, modify, and repair developmental electronic circuit boardsDiagnose and repair PCBA assemblies down to the component levelBuild and troubleshoot prototype circuits for R&D and warranty investigationsOperate test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power suppliesRead and interpret technical documentation—schematics, BOMs, debug guides, and test proceduresWork with Engineering and Customer Service teams to analyze board failures and improve product performanceCollaborate on quality goals and diagnostic efficiencyMaintain safety and cleanliness standards in the Electronics LabRequirementsWhat You Bring:2–5 years of experience in prototype board assembly and troubleshootingProficiency in soldering (through-hole and SMT), and strong knowledge of electronic theoryExperience with lab test equipment and PCB diagnosticsAbility to read complex technical documentation and work independentlyStrong communication skills and a team-first mindsetCritical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Coordination - Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Quality Control Analysis - Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.Language Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Problem Solving Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills- Basic personal computer skillsPreferred Associate degree in Electronic Assembler or a two-year technical degree/certificate in a related disciplineRequired High school diploma and 2-5 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination.Working Hours8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday, with one hour lunchWorking Conditions/Physical Demands of the PositionThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those typical in an electronics lab/productive environment. Tool use is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, including the sounds of forklifts, tools, and machinery. Work is generally performed near moving mechanical parts. In some instances personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required in this work environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms all in a repetitive manner. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
