We're seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to support our Engineering team by assembling, testing, and troubleshooting prototype circuit boards for marine products that lead the industry. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical Skills- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Problem Solving Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Computer Skills- Basic personal computer skillsPreferred Associate degree in Electronic Assembler or a two-year technical degree/certificate in a related disciplineRequired High school diploma and 2-5 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination.Working Hours8:00AM – 5:00PM Monday through Friday, with one hour lunchWorking Conditions/Physical Demands of the PositionThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those typical in an electronics lab/productive environment. Tool use is required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, including the sounds of forklifts, tools, and machinery. Work is generally performed near moving mechanical parts. In some instances personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required in this work environment.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms all in a repetitive manner. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
