The Position

Key Responsibilities :

• Provides comprehensive office coverage and serves as the initial point of contact for students, parents, prospective students, and campus partners through telephone, email, and walk-in inquiries.
• Serves as a part of the professional On-Call rotation and responds to residential concerns as needed.
• Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, and supervises student assistants supporting Residence Life & Housing operations.
• Coordinates office calendars, schedules appointments, manages incoming mail, and maintains office supplies, equipment, and operational resources.
• Coordinates the preparation, distribution, collection, and tracking of residential keys, including processes related to student move-in, move-out, and room changes.
• Maintains and manages housing data within StarRez and Colleague, ensuring accurate and timely updates to student housing records.
• Coordinates weekly and monthly housing reports, room assignment updates, waiting list requests, and room changes; distributes relevant information and notifications to students and appropriate campus offices.
• Supports new and returning student room assignment processes, including placement, reassignment, and related housing communications.
• Maintains break occupancy records and card access systems for approved requests and coordinates communication regarding building occupancy during official college breaks.
• Prepares and distributes correspondence and informational materials related to Residence Life & Housing operations for students, families, and prospective students.
• Maintains departmental budget records and supports the administration of Residence Life & Housing and divisional financial operations, including purchase orders, check requests, petty cash, credit card transactions, transfers, deposits, monthly budget reporting, and student payroll.
• Coordinates the development, updating, ordering, and distribution of Residence Life & Housing forms, literature, and marketing materials.
• Represents Residence Life & Housing on campus committees and collaborates with campus partners on initiatives supporting residential operations and student success.
• Supports and participates in major campus events, including Orientation, Family Weekend, Alumni Weekend, Commencement, and other events as assigned.
• Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge, skills, and effectiveness within the field of Residence Life & Housing.
• Performs additional duties and special projects assigned to support departmental and institutional priorities.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities :

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Excellent interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
