Logistics Coordinator

Location: Rolling Meadows, IL
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Location: Onsite

About the Opportunity

The Logistics Coordinator will support daily logistics, administrative, and operational functions, including data entry, documentation management, reporting, communication with vendors and internal departments, and maintaining accurate records. We are willing to train the right candidate who is dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

This is a fully onsite office position. There is no warehouse, plant, or production work involved.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Administrative Support

• Coordinate and track shipments, orders, and logistics-related paperwork.
• Communicate with vendors, carriers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, follow-up, and coordination of logistics activities.
• Maintain organized records, files, and documentation.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and operational updates as needed.
• Support daily office operations and administrative functions.
• Assist with document scanning, filing, and record management.

Data Entry & System Support

• Enter and update information accurately in company systems, including Excel and NetSuite.
• Verify shipping, customer, and operational data for accuracy.
• Follow up on missing information, paperwork, or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate electronic and physical records.
• Assist with reporting and spreadsheet updates.

Documentation & Communication

• Review logistics and operational documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with organizing customer, vendor, shipping, and purchasing records.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain necessary documentation and information.
• Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding paperwork and requests.
• Provide general administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics coordination, administration, customer service, data entry, office support, or a related role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced office environment.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Work Environment

• Professional office setting.
• Fully onsite position.
• Regular computer and desk work.
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the office.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour , based on experience.
• Full-time schedule, Monday-Friday.
• Opportunity for permanent hire based on performance and business needs.
