Internal Medicine Physician - Levittown, NY

MissionHires is partnering with a well-established, physician-led group on Long Island to hire a Board-Certified/Eligible Internal Medicine Physician for a 100% outpatient role. The practice is renowned for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The physician will deliver comprehensive primary care, lead care coordination, contribute to quality and population health initiatives, and help grow a sustainable patient panel in a supportive, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including detailed history and physical examinations
• Order, interpret, and act upon laboratory results and diagnostic tests
• Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment and care plans
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive strategies
• Document thoroughly and accurately within the EMR system
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance to nurses, technologists, and support staff
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and payer guidelines
• Participate in population health efforts and continuous quality improvement projects
• Support practice growth by developing and managing a sustainable patient panel
• Engage in opportunities for leadership and innovative care initiatives

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible Board Certification in Internal Medicine
• Active New York State medical license or eligibility for NYS licensure
• Proven diagnostic acumen with strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR); familiarity with value-based care metrics is a plus
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base
