Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse (RN) who practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of clinical situations. This role involves providing routine and complex care while making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only).
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only).
• Current PALS certification required (AHA only).
• Current TNCC certification required.
• RN License in the state of Texas or compact.

Schedule

This position requires working the night shift, 8 PM to 8 AM, with a total of 3 days per week. A weekend commitment of 6 days every 6 weeks is also required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
