Pharmacy TechnicianAs a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and help ensure medications are prepared accurately, efficiently and on time.Your responsibilities may include:Assist pharmacists with filling and preparing prescription ordersPackage and label medications accuratelyPrepare medications for dispensing under pharmacist supervisionEnter and maintain prescription and patient informationHelp organize medications and pharmacy suppliesSupport inventory and medication preparation processesCommunicate with pharmacists, team members and healthcare partners as neededFollow pharmacy procedures and applicable state and federal requirementsMaintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health informationHelp keep pharmacy operations organized, accurate and efficientDepending on experience, you may also work alongside senior or lead pharmacy technicians who can provide additional guidance and support.We're looking for a Pharmacy Technician who:Must be at least 18 years oldHas Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registrationHas PTCB certification or equivalent certification as applicableHas strong attention to detail and accuracyIs comfortable working with computers and learning new systemsCan work efficiently in a team environmentHas strong communication and customer service skillsCan maintain confidentiality of patient and prescription informationAbout Americare Pharmacy Solutions:Americare Pharmacy Solutions supports the medication needs of senior living and long-term care communities.
