Project Manager

Responsibilities UC Riverside's Auxiliary Facilities Services is recruiting for a Project Manager. The full salary range for the position is $84,100 - $154,700 annually , with expected pay up to $110,600 per year. Reporting to the Senior Director of Auxiliary Facilities & Projects, the Project Manager plans, develops, implements, and executes building and improvement projects across approximately five million square feet, covering housing, dining, early childhood education, parking, administrative and support facilities. Key duties include performing project planning work such as feasibility studies, scheduling, cost estimating, and analysis; developing and monitoring project charters, critical path tasks, detailed budgets, and risk registers; and coordinating all project phases from design concepts through construction, including liaison with professional consultants and the General Contractor. For projects under UC policy thresholds, the Project Manager serves as the University Representative, while for higher‑threshold or complex projects, the role serves as the Auxiliaries representative and chief liaison to PD & C, managing capital projects across campus. The position schedules project team meetings, communicates updates, ensures project integrity in specifications, owner needs, schedules, change orders, and budgets, and maintains short‑term (3–5years) and long‑term (10years) planning and priority lists for maintenance needs. Coordination with Auxiliary Services staff on space planning, FFE replacement, product specifications, purchases, and other tasks is required. The Project Manager is the primary contact with vendors, researching options, new products, and emerging trends that benefit the facilities program. Regular reporting to the Senior Director of Auxiliary Facilities Services and the Associate Vice Chancellor of Auxiliary Services, along with collaboration with campus partners in PD & C, Environmental Health and Safety, and Facilities Services, ensures compliance with campus, UC, and governmental regulations. The role also coordinates Auxiliaries reporting to UCOP for items such as seismic work and SB721 Balcony Bill compliance and serves on the Auxiliary Services emergency planning and response team. Qualifications • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in accordance with local policies and procedures.
