Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience teaching in special education, with a focus on TABS 3-5 preferred
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Knowledge of current special education laws, IEP development, and progress monitoring
• Compassion, patience, and a student-centered approach

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs within the TABS 3-5 curriculum
• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess students’ academic and behavioral progress, adjusting strategies as necessary for optimal growth
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, social workers, and families to support student goals
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
