Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design, develop, and manage database models that effectively support business data needs and analytics.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database design principles, data warehousing concepts, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, optimized data models.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement logical and physical data models to support business processes and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and IT teams to understand data requirements and translate • them into effective data models.
• Develop and maintain entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), data dictionaries, and metadata documentation.
• Evaluate and optimize existing data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives with robust data modeling.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
• Assist in data migration and integration efforts by providing clear data definitions and relationships.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging data modeling tools and techniques.
Required Skills:
• Strong experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar.
• Deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
• Knowledge of SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
